Cabbage diet - what and to whom is it intended?

Advantages and Disadvantages of Cabbage Diet


The most prominent advantage of the cabbage soup diet is very rapid weight loss. This is because it is a diet. In this diet, you can eat all the foods listed in the menu without any special limitations and it "prepares the ground" well for a more moderate diet that will follow.

If we consider the disadvantages of the cabbage diet, then many do not really like the tasteless taste of the soup. What's more, this diet may cause dizziness, a certain feeling of weakness and decreased concentration, but do not let it frighten you, it's still an effective diet and the rapid drop in weight is worth the effort.

So how does a cabbage diet actually work?


Since the Cabbage Soup Diet is more of a "grandmother's remedy" for rapid weight loss and is not considered a formal diet made up of doctors or nutritionists, its menu is quite minimalist. For the same reason, there are no special recommendations for exercise during the seven days of the diet. Some people call the cabbage soup as "the 7 days of fasting," because it forbids eating many significant nutritional components, but of course, this also allows for a rapid decline in body weight.

Unlike other diets that focus on burning fats, a cabbage diet allows weight loss in the body's fluid loss method. Because the diet is a bit less "conventional" dieticians and many nutritionists refrain from recommending it, but they are not right in all cases. The problem with most diets recommended by professionals is that they work slowly and take a long time to affect the body. Although this type of diet is healthier, it causes many people to despair and retire in the middle if they do not see results in a short time. The cabbage diet bypasses the above problem and provides a good basis for the continuation.

 


 
 

Side Effects of Cabbage Diet
As with any diet, cabbage soup has a number of side effects. The most common is the unwanted formation of gas and swelling, which sometimes makes it difficult to leave the house during the 7 days of the diet. The menu of the cabbage diet is based mostly on drinking large quantities of cabbage soup and eating vegetables. Also, eating too many bananas can cause constipation, but not in all cases.

 

Cabbage diet - daily menu for 7 days Diet:
the first day:

On the first day, it is permitted to eat the cabbage soup and fruit without restriction, except for bananas. It is recommended to drink tea without sugar, cranberry juice and water. Drinking sweet drinks is prohibited!

the second day:

Vegetable Vegetables! In addition to the cabbage soup on the second day, it is recommended to eat fresh or cooked vegetables until you are full. Whatever you want and how much you want. Better, of course, to be green. Avoid legumes such as beans, peas, and corn. In the evening you can indulge yourself with baked potatoes and butter, and eating fruit on the second day is forbidden!

the third day:

Remember the first and second day? Excellent! So the third day is a combination of both - you can eat some cabbage soup, fruits and vegetables that we want. Eating baked potatoes like on the second day is forbidden!

The fourth day:

Bananas and low-fat milk. On the fourth day of the diet, in addition to the cabbage soup, it is recommended to eat no less than 8 bananas during the day and drink a few cups of low-fat milk you want. The main goal on the fourth day is to reduce your craving for sweet foods (containing sugar).

The fifth day:

If you have come this far, your situation is excellent! On the fifth day, it is time for beef. In addition to cabbage soup, on the fifth day, you will eat a small amount of beef and 4-6 whole tomatoes. It is recommended to drink at least 6 cups of water. If you are not fond of beef you can replace it with roast chicken without skin. Do not overdo it with the amount of meat/chicken!

The sixth day:

Two more days are over, well done! On the sixth day, we will eat some meat and vegetables that we have. You can eat even a steak or two. Remember to eat the cabbage soup at least once.

Seventh Day:

You've reached the last day of the cabbage diet - champions! On the seventh day it is recommended to eat brown rice (unprocessed) and vegetables and to drink non-sweet fruit juices. Eat until full and do not forget the cabbage soup!

After 7 days diet: 8th day onwards:

Recall, the Cabbage Soup diet is a short-term diet and therefore it ends after seven days. It is recommended to wait a few months before doing another round of this diet and hope you have achieved the desired results and you can start a more moderate diet of your choice.

The diet is recommended for short-term only, in anticipation of a major event that requires you to fast weight loss.
